U.S. Customs Law requires importers to file ISF (also known as 10+2) for all ocean cargo 24 hours before the vessel departs for the United States. Non-compliance can result in a $5,000 fine, increased inspections and/or a cargo delay.
 
Make sure you have the following for the ISF filing
ISF form/ Instructions sheet, or a copy of the Bill of Lading
HTS code (first 6 digits)
24 Hours left befor the departure
